Sarah’s Clan’s adventures with the Órarduine family continue. The Órarduine space ship fleet now consists of five Dóchas class ships in orbit over Mars. Two additional Dóchas class ships are being built and will be moved to Mars orbit so the interior can be finished. In addition to these additional Dóchas class ships, additional Star fighters, and Badb cruisers are built along with several larger Badb-N cruisers.
Recognizing that some of the contract staff has some lingering doubts about telepathy and psionic abilities, a meeting is scheduled to address their doubts. The meeting gets off to an awkward start when two contract staff members attempt to subdue a Command Staff member on their way to the demonstration. Later during the meeting as several psionic abilities were being demonstrated, several spies are exposed as spies.
With the completion of the buildings at New Comrie, they now have a place to relax and take part in outdoor recreation. This location provides a nice alternative to the recreational facilities on Mars at An Clochán. New Comrie also provides a place on Earth where they can conduct their initial contract worker screening. Like Comrie, those on Earth are unaware of its existence.
The Órarduine’s sentinel line detects a group of space ships approaching Sol system. Shortly after the group of ships transition to normal space, it is determined that these aliens are coming to harvest Earth. When the aliens learn there are other space travelers in the system, they confront the Órarduine demanding their surrender. The demand leads to the Órarduine’s first space battle.
Shortly after the first visitors, another group of space ships is detected approaching Sol systems. Due to their experience with the previous group, the Órarduine are proactive and arrange to monitor the approaching ships. It turns out that this group of ships represent an association of severals worlds known as the Alliance of Worlds. After a few missteps the Órarduine establish a relationship with this group and assist them in meeting the leaders of Earth’s governments. The Alliance of Worlds opts to establish a supply base on Mars.
Once all the Órarduine preparations are complete, they begin their journey to A-Celia, which they eventually name Ananu. On their voyage they have electrical problems on the three freighters they were loaned and pause to fix those issues. On arriving as a subsequent way point they hear a distress call and respond. This leads to them thwarting some pirates trying to capture a passenger ship and rescuing some people being held by the pirates in hibernation. In releasing the people from hibernation, they discover that some were linked to the pirates. Those linked to the pirates decide to take over the fleet but their plans unravel. Shortly after that the group arrives at Ananu.
