Bill, a troubled young man running away from an incident in his past, is nearly exhausted when he pulls up in front of Max's Cafê. Max, one of the least-experienced espers, offers him a job. And so our story begins.

Unfortunately, so does a rescued street waif who has been taken in hand by a mysterious lady who, astonishingly, seems to have an extraordinary gift where plants are concerned.
