The Hand Bound

Published: 2022-01-31. 114,444 Words.

Categories: Fiction » Adventure » General

Format: EPUB

Content Rating: Older than 17

A new town, a new school, a new home. Sam is almost 16, and as he helps his Dad paint the new house, a 200 year old mansion picked up cheap at auction, he discovers disturbing things about the previous resident, and evidence of a hidden treasure. But, that is just the beginning of an adventure unlike anything else.

This book may mention people and places that sound familiar, or that you may think you recognize. They are not those people. This book takes place across multiple universes, realities, and locations. Some may be familiar, some will not, but be close enough to make you think, “wait, what?” None of the people or places mentioned in this book belong to the universe of the reader, so none of their actions, words, or attitudes can be attributed to anyone you may or may not know. The multiverse is truly infinite, and anything that can happen, will happen, somewhere, somewhen, somehow. The reader’s home universe is not any of those places.

Well written, great premise & characters!

Wow, just wow. Just finished...

You did some marvelous things here:

Adam is a real character, not just a male Alexa (great catch)... it is tough to make this type of character relatable.

I lost my wife a number of years ago, you nailed all of the reactions.

He is a 16 year old, you avoided the Marty Sue really well. He makes mistakes, and learns from them.

I love Aunt Joan, and your resolution to Susie was great!

You got the 'naughty bits' just right. Enough that it is believable and enjoyable, not so much that it becomes a superhero stroke story.

Well done! I enjoyed your other work, loved Micro Gates... This takes it to a new level.

Thanks for another story I could not stop reading!

Great original science fiction book with unlimited potential

This is a very entertaining book that sets up pretty much any kind of story you can think of. Funny, quick paced, this is a great read. It defies quite a few rules of writing in a way that is truly refreshing. I purchased after reading the first few chapters, because I felt it deserved my patronage. Looking forward to the next instalment.

This is a good starting to a new series

I loved the premise of this new series.
The dynamic between the son and the dad is quite good.
And the adventures that is promised at the end of the book only ensures that PT already has sold the next book.
