Terrific Story, Even For Non-"Supers" fans

I loved the book, not having any other of the series, so the mention of "Supers" midway and later "Human Man" near the end took me a bit by surprise. But knowing Shaddoth's background, I could easily tie the events together.
The book succeeds very much on its own, though I'm wondering whether THIS series will eventually tie into the larger universe or not (Shaddoth doesn't seem to be clear on the distinction between series, universes, nor how to properly format stories by chapters). Still, I'm eagerly awaiting the sequel, as the ending will have readers clinging to their seats (hint: no cliffhangers folks, but it leaves you eager to dig right into the sequel).
Good job, Shaddoth

An excellent read, with engaging characters and a captivating plot. There are a few third-act problems... then again, maybe they are merely teasers for the next book (which I hope will be forthcoming shortly!).

A great continuation to the Smith world. There can and should be many more if we’re lucky. Shaddoth always leaves me wanting more.

Definitely in the continuum. Enjoyed the new characters and the Smith family interplay only 4 of 5 stars because it ended too soon (per usual ... you don't ALWAYS need to leave them wanting for more). LOL
