I really enjoyed the several times I've read this story...agree that the last chapter leave a bit to be desired in how quick it wraps things up...and I really wish Shaddoth would continue the story because the tail of Jason is FAR FAR FAR from over...

I've read this four or five times now and I love it. The character building, the world, the action. Truly my only complaint would have to be the pacing towards the end.

The story progressed at a certain level but then at the end it was suddenly rushed and abruptly ends. Felt a little jarring and left me underwhelmed. But doesn't stop me from reading it again and again haha.

I've read Axeman several times and have enjoyed each read. The world building is interesting, the characters have complex backgrounds and I am really, really, really looking forward to a sequel.

Riveting storyline.
Awesome plot.

Get a weapon, train in its use, and defeat monsters. Simple and yet not so simple.
As there's no savegame, you die, it's game over.

Level up and be stronger or make a mistake and die.

The plot really clicks with me, it's a world I wish I could live in, so it's easy to become fully immersed within it. The characters are fully fleshed out and all are fantastic. Most importantly I cannot wait for the next book :)

Really looking forward to the sequel. Excellent premise. While the ending isn't a cliffhanger, it left me needing more resolution, so I hope that Shaddoth moves quickly to get us axeman2!

Well worth it’s price and a great read. The RPG aspects worked better than I expected and there was a delightful cohesion to the book where it just clicked together.

If you're into litrpg you'll be very satisfied with what Axeman has to offer. It's a fast read that doesn't stint on the action or the character growth. I'll definitely be on the lookout for any other books this author puts out in the future.

This is a fantastic book. Glad I picked it up. Plot and people were interesting and well presented. Plot was different and worked well.

I also wish the sequel was here :).

There are a few spelling mistakes and the epub didn't "bold" or whatever some of the things he wanted, but that was very minor and didn't detract from the book.

Thank you for writing and allowing us to read the finished book. I was entranced.

It was a entertaining book. Little bit of everything inside. I did not notice any big mistakes. I never look for mistakes on my first read. I enjoyed the book enough to buy a copy. I love the author's stories. Would firmly recommend to anyone.

Another triumph by Shaddoth, I really enjoyed it. They're were a quite a few errors in the story, which made it a little harder to enjoy, but still an amazing read.

Shaddoth has matured as an author. The hero isn't ridiculously OP in this story, and there's a slew of weird unpredictable events, both good and bad, that affect the protagonist.

The spelling/orthography is still off kilter, for which I deducted one star.

All in all, I liked the tale and look forwardcto the sequel.
