Outstanding Story !

I’ve read this story three times now and was just as sorry to have it end as I was the other times I read it! I am certain there places like Catfish Hollow still today in the geographical area outlined for this story. I really enjoy this author’s writing style and the complexity woven in by his “editorial commentary”. Please keep the stories coming!!! Retired teacherbillygoat1938

This lived up to Bob's warning in his introduction. Please believe it before reading this. I have expiernced this in my own life. Not the inter-racial part but the disparate of age. I stayed married to my under aged bride for the rest of her life. Which wasn't nearly long enough. I must admit that I was tempted by several black women in my life. Never acted on it. this is a great book and you will find yourself rooting for the people involved.speedylewis
