Bobby Washington got hit by a car when he was fifteen, leaving him in a coma from which he didn't awaken until he was eighteen. He also had epilepsy and needed to finish school. An in-home physical therapist/caregiver was needed. Mai Li MacIntosh was born in Vietnam but raised in the U.S. Her first job as a physical therapist was to rehab Bobby Washington. It was supposed to be a three to six month job, after which she'd have something on her resume and go on to fulfill her dreams. A problem that popped up (literally), though, was that she was good looking and Bobby's brain was still stuck in puberty. That he reacted to her wasn't the problem, though. The problem was that if he tried to masturbate, it caused a seizure. Helping him in that way wasn't in her job description but somebody had to help him or he could literally die. Maybe if someone else did the physical part, he could relax enough that relief wouldn't make him seize. There was only one way to find out and Mai Li felt like it was her responsibility to her patient to try to help him.

I really enjoyed this book. You, as always, do such a great job of interspersing romance, drama, sex, and philosophy that makes me care about the characters and the outcome. Thank you.
It has been quite some time since I contacted you to nitpick about one of your stories, so you're due. Sorry, but that's just how it is. On page 556 you describe the wedding between Bobby and Mai Li and "the gentle swell of her abdomen" due to a 4-month old fetus. Then on page 561, "And then there was the fact that, only three and a half months after she met Bobby, she married him". I'm sure you see the timeline issue.
Thanks for sharing your work with us!

What a nice surprise this book! Full-length, 700 pages on my e-reader and an interesting storyline. It grabbed me at the very first pages. I highly recommend reading this book!
