This is fantasy at its finest! Once again, Duleigh invites us into his world of Kodu, where humans, elves, and dwarves live in an uneasy peace. In his kingdom of Uduithia, all is not well. An evil from a different place, a different reality, wants the world so he can drain it of magic before moving on. Only Duke Nicholas of Wægn has the knowledge, swordsmanship, and magic to stop Nithe Skelm, and the fate of Kodu lies in one grand showdown. Nithe Skelm was invited to Uduithia to start his campaign by an adversary of Duke Stein, but Nick and Veronica know his weakness.
This is a rollicking adventure from the old school, where the top swordsman gets to stand between his king and the darkness that evil brings. Duleigh casts a spell on Uduithia and his readers. This is a new, fresh universe where anything can happen if you allow it to, and Duleigh's revamped appendixes give us maps and insights into life on Kodu, including a map of the solar system. These appendices are something that every fantasy series should provide.
