Reincarnation
by A Well-Traveled Man
Language: English
Categories: Fiction » Coming of Age
Content Rating: All Ages
Lance Shaffer was born in July 1999. My parents were Michael and Marcy Shaffer. Dad was a chemical engineer, and Mom was a neurological surgeon. Dad passed on his intelligence and physical build. He was six feet four and 220 pounds and kept in shape through martial arts he learned in the service and by working out in our home gym. As soon as I could walk, Dad taught me martial arts.
The story begins in 2090, when Lance is 91 years old. The world had changed, and Lance had developed a regeneration drug. The aging population needed to prolong life. He was tired of life and developed a reincarnation treatment that, along with a time machine that was in development, he took a chance and was reincarnated into a boy in a coma named Wyatt Armstrong, who was 12 years old. The year was 2004.

When's the next book

Very good. You're very good on cliff hanger endings. Good plot, good characters and your storyline is excellent. Keep up the great work, but could you wrote faster, and also finish the other series. Owen

Essentially the same book

I've enjoyed your books to date. In fact, they keep getting better IMHO. That said, it seems as though you keep repeating the same plots in each of your books. I am waiting for Wyatt to learn to play golf and then star in movies as that would be keeping the plot consistent with your other books.

Continuity

I will give this as constructive criticism as I enjoy your work and own everything on ZBook.
You need to make sure that when describing something new such as Wyatt's height that when he grows an inch and half to 6'1" that he actually grew because earlier he was 6'1" already.
Also there so many ways that you can go with your stories that you need to finish some of these that are waiting for sequels.
All of the stories are usually about 6 months to a year in the characters life, what is going to happen next?

A good improvement on prior efforts

The character development was very good and the novella was easy to read and enjoy. I highly recommend it.. I hope this time part two is soon coming so many times in the past we’ve been told that there’s another book following and after waiting months and months nothing has appeared. I hope this is the exception to the rule.. and we get the chance to read and enjoy the conclusion
This is a combination

Too much repetition
Reviewed it on January 22, 2026
As I have written to you before, your story lines are ok, but there is far too much repetition, almost like cut and paste. Condense some of the timelines and for f'sake let your poor leads have some sexual contact. If you are using AI to write these stories, double and triple check them.

The usual story from the author

Same character type, same plot, same story arc. Pathetic.
Would give a zero if I was able to.
