In the first book of the Triology "Honalee", Sam, a girl with a unique talent for interfacing her mind with computers, learns her adoptive parents are planning to seize her upcoming inheritance.

Running away she meets Bill on the Road, a veteran soldier, violent and homeless. The unlikely pair team up to infiltrate the crew of a space liner - Bellerophon - and escape Earth for a new life.

But Bellerophon is no paradise for the crew, ruled by ruthless criminal gangs girls like Sam are trafficked for profit and power, the duo have to scramble up the ranks to survive, and put down any who get in their way.

But Sam discovers her unknown past catching up with her, and she starts to wonder if Bill is part of it, playing her for his own ends. As Bellerophon hurtles toward Alpha Centauri the ship simmers like a pressure cooker about to explode.
