Dark but hopeful

Main character has a dark past, but goes through life's adventures with optimism and determination. Admirable. Impossible not to wish the best for the main character. Thank you, Peter Young

Insightful with very clever plot development. I enjoyed this story immensely, both your character development and attention to detail. Your concepts were enlightening, thought provoking and engaging. A great read, thank you.

This is a fascinating story. Unless you're careful, you're going to find yourself reading it non-stop, like I did.

Another great story

Reviewed it on June 27, 2025

What more can I say in addition to the comments made by other reviewers. Another highly recommended story. What seems to be common about many of Peter Young's stories is that they deal with people at the margin who are (1) able to overcome and, (2) offer interesting insights that many of us would often miss. Thanks to this story, I have decided to explore stoicism. Aside from that, a highly recommended, addictive story (bet that you cannot read it in multiple sittings). Get it.

Just... a beautiful read.

It's a beautiful read, and that's enough. Some of the observations, some of the language, are things I want to share with others. That doesn't happen often for me. Thank you, Mr. Young, for this story.

Clearly Realistic

Reviewed it on June 27, 2025

This is literature, not typical at all. I have both his other stories, and this is an extension of the same concepts across multiple disciplines and circumstances. Very enjoyable and well worth your money and time. I look forward to Mr. Youngs next evolution.

Finding your humanity

Reviewed it on June 26, 2025

Most of my favorite authors manage to shine a light on the gentle humanity that each of us is capable of expressing. Peter Young does this as well as any other author I enjoy. Another great trip of self discovery, worthy of Flint, or Bujold or Stirling or Anthony Ryan. Thank you, Peter.

Great Read The story flows

Very enjoyable. A great Author.

A Very Good Read but…

Reviewed it on June 27, 2025

The story was very enjoyable but two things prevent it from attaining excellence. First was a clear need for more careful proofreading. Second and more important, the ending seemed rushed as though the author was bored with the story and more than ready to move on to something different. In spite of its flaws the story is still a very entertaining read. Please keep up the very good work.
