Sword, Shield and Guard - Book One
by Im Not Telling
Language: English
Categories: Fiction » Erotica » Action/Adventure
Content Rating: Extreme Contents
You don't have code clearance to read this. It's above Top Secret. If you know about the Sword, Shield and Guard, you've violated statutes that will get you tossed into a deep, dark hole in some black site. You've been warned. This story should never have come out. The author who wrote it is missing. There's sex, violence, adventure, politics, the President is involved. I shouldn't have said that.

Really got into the details and the Characters. But the book was too short.mikedemers63
A great thriller!

This was a great read. Could grammar, tense and continuity be better? Sure! However, if you expect Clancy or le Carre go to the bookstore and pay 25 bucks. I, fortunately, bought both books as a collection and am happy that I did so. If the roughness offends your senses, consider helping out with an edit and send it back to the poster. Or just maybe consider it like a report submitted by a rushed operative who needs to be in the field more than he needs to be sitting at a computer writing a report. I wish there was more to this series. Perhaps this could be turned into a Universe and some of you authors could run with it. I look forward to where this could go if that is the case.SharpPencil
On level with Tom Clancy!

Sometimes you run across a gem. Sometimes it's mystery, sometimes it's adventure, sometimes a techno-thriller. Sometimes it is all three wrapped up with some hot erotica too! That's what we have here. Perfect? No, please, nothing is perfect. But for $4? Shit, a fancy coffee at Starbucks costs more! And this lasts a lot longer. Now I have to go buy Book 2. I wish I had bought the Collection in the first place, lol!rocket169
A really reat tory, but....

Really exciting book. However, grammar and spelling need editing. BTW, editing means READING the book, as a spell checker will not pick up homophones. E.g., "patience" should read "patients". Please get someone to edit it and turn a really good novel into a great novel. I won't tell my name, either or maybe I can't remember it.jsomes
Great but coups be better

Bit confusing. Prose needs editing for Grammer, punctuation and syntaxUh, it's grammar, not grammer. There needs to be a period at the end of your sentence, too. ::: shrug ::: I'm the agent, not the author, but I can tell you that I have over 1,800 fixes using Grammarly, and I said that a few might get through. Find it hard to believe that you read that entire book, and that's all you have to say. Bit confusing.

Solid bases, but execution is ... meh

Story is interesting if hard to follow. On one hand, it's as designed to be cryptic as we're not read into the SSG. That's well done. Easily 3 stars material On the other, grammar is confusing. Often times, ranks, and pronouns (he vs she) will be misused. If grammarly reviewed this book, this should serve as a PSA to NOT use it. Or entire sections seem to be missing. Time and location changes aren't mentioned, until the context doesn't make sense and you get new clues to re-build the new context. A simple horizontal line would've already warned the reader of a change in context, but there's nothing, you're on your own. I'd probably have been lenient on this book and given it a 3 stars had it not been for the publisher to question whether another reader pointing grammar and syntax issues actually read the thing. I can confirm, the book is riddled with grammar, syntax and continuity issues. And the agent should fire his editor.FROM THE AGENT: So in examining things, what we have here is a classic case of trolling. A troll is someone who, purposefully and with malicious intent, attempts to cause bad will toward another. When we look at this review, we first notice that it was copied and pasted onto both books. So, the reviewer paid for one book, decided to slam it, and then bought a second book, not because he wanted to continue reading the story, but, because he wished to bring malice to the author. This is a classic troll maneuver. Further, at the time of me writing this, there are 9 reviews in, and this book has a 4-star rating. That means all 8 other reviewers gave it many STARS, and this lone troll gave it one. What are the odds on eight other reviewers giving a book high ratings if one star is valid? So, yes, it's easy to kick an author who is no longer around, but when a troll goes out of their way to post the same review in two places, well, take that for what you will. Thank you.
