Jake McClintock works as a Jack-of-all-trades at the Bar G, a Montana dude ranch. Some 30 years ago he played the lead character in a famous western TV show, Montana Skies. He had a beautiful wife, fame, fortune, and a great career. Now, he fixes fences and toilets and lives in the bunkhouse with the other ranch hands.

Young Jamie Lee Saunders struggles with her job, her fiancé, and lack of family in glitzy Orange County, California. She yearns for real love with a real man, but feels trapped, and
destined to a dismal future, never being able to realize her dreams.

Trying to recapture some of the joy from her youth, Jamie brings her fiancé, Chad, to the Bar G in Montana. She meets the very charming but unsophisticated Jake, and sparks fly. The sparks turn into an ember, and a raging inferno which seeks to engulf them both.

Then, Jake gets a call from his agent who tells him that Hollywood is ready to take another chance on him. Will they be able to stay together and will their burgeoning love survive?
