Bought books 1 and 2, still no end

Finds a lost imperial spaceship and then goes on a quest to find the brain boxes of the rest of the ships that were destroyed 100 years ago. When he finds these boxes (15 by the end of book 2) they are all covered with booby trapped explosives and viruses. No explanation for how these boxes which were from spaceships that were destroyed in battles and are scattered all over the galaxy got booby trapped. The question is never asked or even thought about. Maybe it gets answered later, he has another 2 books worth up on storiesonline and still not done.
