This story came about from the combination of two things:-
1 - Have you ever asked that question of yourself, “What if I had zigged instead of zagged, how would my life have been different?” When I was 20 I lived with a woman who was twice my age for two years. When we split, I returned to heterosexual normality, but what if I had stayed lesbian?
2 - This story was inspired by my ex-editor (Mitchie) who I think might have had a bit of a crush on me, and she was half my age. How would it have worked out if I had seduced her mother? Who would I have ended up with?
The Julie in this book is based on myself and there are elements of truth in some of the scenes portrayed.
The Sarah (Mitchie’s mother) is a woman I have never met but I can imagine falling in love with her if I did.
Mitchie is Mitchie, I owe her a debt of gratitude I will never be able to repay apart from thanking her for what she did for me before she left online life.
In these enlightened times a woman can marry another woman without anyone even blinking an eye. Back in the eighties the world wasn’t quite so liberated, and lesbianism was something that was whispered in a hushed tone. It is against this backdrop that Julie made the decisions she makes.
As time progresses societies attitude changes but Julie’s murky background conspires to put blockages in the path of love. Sarah’s life has changed as well with a marriage and a daughter and the complication of MItchie lusting after Julie makes things tricky.
WARNING: Lots of lesbian sex at various points as well as an enduring and endearing love story.
