Great and exciting reading.

I liked the action and sentimental emotions the author induced. The part about the gold prospecting and excavation was very interesting. Good job.

What do you do when you have a popular character but no ideas?

I don't know. Maybe we could jump a motorcycle over a shark-filled tank of water, or something...

Sadism just isn't my thing

Reviewed it on December 18, 2023

Really enjoyed the earlier entries in this series . . . all 5 stars . . . and I stand by those scores. This one was on track, but took a hard left into sadism. Not saying it's not in some respect justified by the plot, but I brushed up against a (thankfully) few of what I assessed as sadistic personalities during my overseas service in multiple horror zones, and it seemed to me that those who descended into sadism and torture had to be affected by it, that they could never again really attain a peaceful and kind normality after enjoying inflicting physical and mental torture on the helpless. I think I'm out at number 3.
