Sam (a.k.a. ‘Spyder’) is compromised and nearly captured by mobsters who want her dead for stealing their money. Forced to shut down her intricate and vast cyber web, she flees for her life and goes ‘dark’. As if Carter hadn’t enough on his plate, with Trinity moving out, Rachel seconds away from Labor, and Jenny and Suzy seeking his help for an entirely different issue. And his enemies? They were just getting started. The answer to these distractions is both explosive and revealing when he, Trinity, and Gil take the fight to the enemy.

I liked the action and sentimental emotions the author induced. The part about the gold prospecting and excavation was very interesting. Good job.nigelbrogers

Sadism just isn't my thing

Really enjoyed the earlier entries in this series . . . all 5 stars . . . and I stand by those scores. This one was on track, but took a hard left into sadism. Not saying it's not in some respect justified by the plot, but I brushed up against a (thankfully) few of what I assessed as sadistic personalities during my overseas service in multiple horror zones, and it seemed to me that those who descended into sadism and torture had to be affected by it, that they could never again really attain a peaceful and kind normality after enjoying inflicting physical and mental torture on the helpless. I think I'm out at number 3.
