My stories on StoriesOnline are posted under the pen name Switch Blayde, but I publish as S.W. Blayde on Bookapy and Amazon.
I've been writing short stories since 1999, having sold several to magazines. Then I was paid to write comic scripts for an online comic book website, and enjoyed it, but my heart was always in stories. Eventually, I wrote full-length novels.
As an author, I believe in engaging the reader so they live the story through the characters. And I believe in the literary principle of "show don't tell." I don't tell the reader a character is angry, I show their anger. I don't tell the reader two characters have a fight, I show the fight. I don't tell the reader that characters have sex, I show them having sex. It's a more cinematic way to craft literary fiction. More engaging. Although my sex scenes are graphically described, my novels are not porn.
