The Story Begins…
When you were a teenager, you were eager to get out into the world and have all kinds of exciting adventures.
But what you never expected was to wind up as a college dropout, saddled with student loans that eat up half your paycheck. And you certainly never envisioned yourself living in a tiny, overpriced apartment and working as a janitor at the same college that you flunked out of a few years earlier.
Yet that’s how life is sometimes - unfair. And there doesn’t really seem to be any light at the end of the tunnel either. You don’t have a girlfriend, and without a good job, a flashy car, or much of anything else to offer, you’re probably never going to get one.
Even your parents think you’re pretty much a loser, and sometimes, your dad talks about you in the past tense. But can you blame him? Everyone else in your family is doing great. It’s just you who seems stuck in a rut.
If only there was some way you could turn your life around! If only there was some way you could redeem yourself in the eyes of the world and show them that you’re special. If only there was something you could do so that girls would all come running to be with you, and you could land a sweet gig that paid well.
If only…
But for now, you’re just a lowly janitor, forgotten and ignored by everybody. You are literally the lowest guy on campus, and girls don’t even see you when you walk past them in your drab coveralls. To them, you are just part of the background, a complete nobody.
The universe works in mysterious ways, though, and sometimes, even the biggest loser gets one last chance. But this is it, bud. Act wisely or you may never get another opportunity!

It’s a pretty typical Tuesday afternoon, which means you’ve been assigned to clean up the university’s gym and fitness center.
It’s a fairly simple job, mostly consisting of picking up lots of sweaty, stinky towels, emptying garbage cans, and mopping the floors.
Inside the janitor’s closet, you’re mixing chemicals as you run the hot water in preparation for mopping the women’s locker room. You’ve got headphones on as you listen to some lame band, which is why it takes you a moment to realize that something just made a loud bang.
When you remove your headphones, you can hear a couple of female voices shouting, and then there’s another bang. And then you start smelling something strange, which you eventually figure out is coming from something that is burning close by on the other side of the door.
Clearly, something unusual is going on!
